A tale full of intrigue, doubt, and success (Part 1)
Thank you for this post. It was so insightful. Loved all the info about the page turns. Don’t think many realise how much work, expertise and thought goes into making a picture book.
Absolutely. 💯... It’s too easy and dismissive to say that because it’s for kids, it’s not as hard to make. To do it well (we should!) is hard work.
So insightful! Already looking forward to part 2!
Thank you for sharing your process, it's so exciting to read. I can't wait for part two!
Thank you, Juliana!
What a cliff hanger! I mean...what will happen to Jacob???? (But seriously, love the post and the analogies)
I know - I think I need to work some fiction in to make it more exciting 😂
Not at all - the truth is so exciting. You found a tippy top agent and are killing it!!
Oooo I love a good agent story. Popcorn is at the ready.
Pressure is on now 😂
Wait!!! Next episode will play in 3…2….1….
Thanks for sharing your experience! I’m wrapping up a dummy right now and this post couldn’t have come at a better time!
I’m on the edge of my seat! Can’t wait for the next episode! And thank you for sharing my post too! 💛
Absolutely 💯
So many gems in this piece! Thanks.
Thanks, Maureen! Hope the next installment helps just as much!
Wow. This was an amazing post! I loved seeing the behind the scenes and your thought process on the book dummy!
Thank you, Meaghan! Love your work!
Thanks so much for sharing this journey, Jacob. Taking notes and look forward to your next post!
Thank you, Sara! I was hoping it would be helpful. More to come 💪
So thoughful - thank you. It's so interesting that the page turns can inform pacing. This book looks adorable.
Thank you! I think page turns are one of the things that really sets picture books apart as an art form.
Love seeing the behind the scenes here! Thank you.
Thank you, Dan!
