I love the Father-Son short story. I also have a 14 year-old son, and this gives me pause for thought. I get so caught up in everyday life (mainly work) and I think we could both use some “Failure to Launch” moments 🚀
I’ve been at this fabric art for quite awhile. AND have changed and grown, experimented and explored. What I noticed is….. that there are some things that stay the same. Grasses for instance. Thier sweeping grace and simple line captures me and I have made a conscious choice to include them in my most current work. I guess what I’m saying is….. if it works and you love it…. Keep it.
I’ve also decided to stop fighting the direction my work is taking.
Oh…. And by the way, I love that you noticed the ladybug/plant illustration in the bathroom. ❤️

Love the reflection on past work. I think it ties in well with the idea of passion too. Sometimes you look at the past to find meaning in the present
💯 It’s like seeing how the dots connected in the past can help connect the new ones somehow
Answering the inquiry of looking at older work.
